April Showers Bring Sesame Flowers

April Showers Bring Sesame Flowers

Greetings from the Sesame Place Horticulture Department, you can think of us as Elmo’s Gardening Green Thumbs! We are working very hard to get ready for Opening Day on Saturday, April 28th. We are busy planting over 15,000 colorful annuals and perennials in flowerbeds throughout the Park. We also have nearly 200 hanging baskets and 100 planter pots to add even more color!

Happy Days Start With High Fives

Happy Days Start With High Fives

In honor of National High Five day, the third Thursday in April, the finance department decided to recognize the year-round team members. Each team member received an individual “high five” in the form of a clapper that was given out Thursday morning before they arrived at work. The idea was to give the team members a happy start to their day and to show them that finance thinks they’re all doing a great job. This is just one of the ways we recognize and reward our team members throughout the year.

The Weather is Warm and...

The Weather is Warm and...

The warm weather is here, the birds are chirping and the sun is shining bright over Sesame Place today. I thought I would go into the park and show you some great photos of one of my favorite rides, Sky Splash. I enjoy Sky Splash because I can ride it with my friends; it seats 4 people in one raft. The best part of the ride is the final plunge into a giant pool.

Sesame Place Employees have Phillies Phever!

Can you name something that is red, white and blue at Sesame Place? It’s the Sesame Place staff supporting the Phillies for Opening Day today! It’s that time of year again; where the Philadelphia region celebrates the Philadelphia Phillies’ first game of the season! And it’s not just our employees that wear the fan gear! You can check out some of our guests wearing Phillies gear this season as well.

Collecting Pins in an organized way!

Collecting Pins in an organized way!

Collecting Pins in an organized way!

Have you ever seen something you liked in a magazine and clipped it out only to have a mess of magazine clippings? Or had an idea and wrote it on a post-it but did not know where to actually post it?

Well I experience that problem all the time. All I want is to have is a place where I can organize all my thoughts, ideas and things that peak my interests into one area and not have to worry about clutter.
