Good Ship Sesame Renovation

Good Ship Sesame is getting a facelift! Your Sesame Street friends wanted to take a ride on the ship, so we are making some enhancements! In 1990, the 60-foot Good Ship Sesame docked at the entrance to Sesame Island, our tropical-themed area of the park. This spring, you will see that your Sesame friends have now climbed aboard.

Monstrous Construction Update: Cookie’s Sometimes Anytime Food Market

The foundation for Cookie’s Sometimes Anytime Food Market is being placed and samples of the giant cookie jar have arrived at the park. Cookie’s Sometimes Anytime Food Market will be located in the new Cookie’s Monster Land opening May 2014. The food market will offer a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages to satisfy hungry little monsters.

MAKING WINTER A LITTLE WARMER

During A Very Furry Christmas, Sesame Place Cares invited Season Pass Members to donate new or gently used children’s coats. We are proud to report that our Season Pass Members contributed 271 coats! These coats were donated to the local charity, Cradles to Crayons.

Throwback in Time at Sesame Place

In the Human Resources department at Sesame Place, we tend to hold on to things so we can remember them in the future. Let’s take a trip down memory lane with some of the great items we pulled from the capsule.

The Time Capsule has items from the park’s opening in 1980 until 2000.

Having A BUNCH of Fun

Our Team Members have fun even when Sesame Place is closed during the week. Our Human Resources staff is having lots of fun preparing for the Christmas season. How do they celebrate? By dressing up, of course! Having fun is what it’s all about here at Sesame Place! Today, while stuffing papers for our employees, our staff dressed up as bananas. Why do you ask? Do we need a reason to just have fun?!

Finishing Touches

Sesame Place is getting ready to open this Saturday, November 23 for A Very Furry Christmas. So what is everyone doing at Sesame Place today? Putting on the finishing touches, of course!

Preparations for Christmas began during October as we gathered supplies and decorations. As soon as The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular closed on October 27th it was full swing into Christmas mode!
