Sesame Place, the nation’s only theme park based entirely on Sesame Street, is expanding its month long celebration of Halloween—The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular—this year with a new show, maze and hayride.
Good Ship Sesame is getting a facelift! Your Sesame Street friends wanted to take a ride on the ship, so we are making some enhancements! In 1990, the 60-foot Good Ship Sesame docked at the entrance to Sesame Island, our tropical-themed area of the park. This spring, you will see that your Sesame friends have now climbed aboard.
The foundation for Cookie’s Sometimes Anytime Food Market is being placed and samples of the giant cookie jar have arrived at the park. Cookie’s Sometimes Anytime Food Market will be located in the new Cookie’s Monster Land opening May 2014. The food market will offer a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages to satisfy hungry little monsters.

Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with Santa Claus and have an interview. I wanted to ask all of the important questions that everybody wanted to know.
Tom: First question, where do you park the sleigh while you are at Sesame Place?
In the Human Resources department at Sesame Place, we tend to hold on to things so we can remember them in the future. Let’s take a trip down memory lane with some of the great items we pulled from the capsule.
The Time Capsule has items from the park’s opening in 1980 until 2000.
The first item that I pulled from the capsule was this pennant.
Where can you take a train through a magical Gingerbread cookie factory? Well at A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place, of course! The Sesame Place Furry Express is waiting for you and your family to travel through the magical land of the Twiddlebugs.
Our Team Members have fun even when Sesame Place is closed during the week. Our Human Resources staff is having lots of fun preparing for the Christmas season. How do they celebrate? By dressing up, of course! Having fun is what it’s all about here at Sesame Place! Today, while stuffing papers for our employees, our staff dressed up as bananas. Why do you ask? Do we need a reason to just have fun?!
Sesame Place is getting ready to open this Saturday, November 23 for A Very Furry Christmas. So what is everyone doing at Sesame Place today? Putting on the finishing touches, of course!
Preparations for Christmas began during October as we gathered supplies and decorations. As soon as The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular closed on October 27th it was full swing into Christmas mode!
Our very own Mike Taylor, Director of Operations at Sesame Place was recently featured as one of the 40 under 40, hosted by The Bucks County Courier Times and The Intelligencer. The Bucks County Courier Times and The Intelligencer honored the area's top 40 individuals under 40-years-old as voted on by the public.
