“I feel like a kid again, I haven’t had this much fun in years!” Jolene, 43, Philadelphia.
Do you remember jumping rope on the playground? Or counting to three before you ran underneath the gym class parachute? Do you remember what it was like to walk out of school on the last day and take a deep breath knowing that it was the start of summer vacation? Those are some feelings that I had yesterday when I went down to the Piazza at Schmidts. Why was I down there, you may ask? I was celebrating summer of course!

As many of our readers and fans of our YouTube channel know, I am the guy that films the videos for Sesame Place. Part of my job is to create fun and entertaining videos for our fans. I like to film interesting shots to capture a moment, like yesterday when I walked around Sesame Place’s event to capture what it was like to be a kid during summer.

Sesame Place held an awesome event to celebrate summer at the Piazza in Philadelphia. It is part of the PR tour that will visit cities near Sesame Place and show how much fun it is to be a kid, or be a kid again.
While I was filming, a teacher from a local school came over and started blowing bubbles with a bubble wand and all the children gathered around. They were screaming and cheering, and popping all the bubbles that just floated right above their heads. There were also some who chose to play with jump ropes and hula hoops. There was a giant parachute; remember the large colorful circular thing that you played with in gym class? We tossed beach balls and an Elmo plush doll on top to see how far they could fly up in the air. I also joined some of the kids who decided to run underneath of the parachute, which I have to say, is still cool even as an adult.

One of the highlights of this day (a side from seeing everyone happy, having fun, and learning new things) was seeing one my videos projected on a 40 ft. screen! This day was so much fun! It’s not every day that you get the chance to be a kid again.
