Hello, Sesame Place Blog readers! My name is Kelly and I’m a Marketing Coordinator here at the park. I come to marketing as a relatively new addition; for the past five years, I’ve worked operationally in the culinary department.
Culinary to marketing? It’s been quite a switch, I know. Although it’s not a transition many people choose to make, I wanted to take advantage of the opportunities Sesame Place offers that allow me to work toward my career goals. You see, when I’m not representing the marketing team at Sesame, I’m a Public Relations major at Temple University. Marketing has been a great place for me to use the skills I’ve learned in school while getting real world experience that I can take back to the classroom, too.
Outside of both school and work, I love to spend my time at some of Philadelphia’s best eateries. From Temple food trucks to Le Bec Fin, dining out always offers me a relaxing change of pace. It also gives me the opportunity to reconnect with friends and family. As a vegetarian, my eating options are sometimes limited, but I’ve found that creative and healthy meatless options are easily accessible almost everywhere I go, including at Sesame Place.
As a member of the Sesame Place blog team, I can’t wait to share all of my marketing, eating, and learning experiences with our readers. However, I know that some of the best stories are actually conversations, so I’m looking forward to seeing our reader responses most of all!
